Is Agate Included in Your Store's Selection of Metaphysical Gems and Crystals?

Retailers who specialize in selling metaphysical gems & crystals will often stick with quartz-like minerals such as amethyst, rose quartz and citrine. While all of these are known for their healing properties, it is important to remember that quartz crystal metaphysical gems are not the only ones that collectors buy. Agate is well-known for its mystical qualities as well, and it can be much less expensive when purchased in bulk.

Why Agate

Even if your store caters to serious rock collectors, it makes sense to offer a selection of healing crystals and gemstones. Buying bulk agate to supplement your store's metaphysical gemstones is a smart way to diversify your inventory and draw attention to the unique qualities of these stones.

Agate is made up of microscopic crystals that appear as colorful bands and ribbons, and they almost always have a translucent quality. While the color of the agate dictates its metaphysical qualities, all are known as "grounding stones". This means they help the bearer maintain a healthy physical and emotional balance that enhances self-control and raises consciousness.

Many retailers purchase bulk agate because it is known to increase self-confidence and prosperity, but it is also been known to avert stormy weather and protect children from harm.

There are many different theories about the healing properties of metaphysical gems & crystals, but each is based on the way the stones interact with a person's root or base chakra.

For example, the colorful varieties of fire agate are often used before meditation because they build a strong connection with the natural energies of the earth. Black agate's dynamic presence represents the elemental earth and relates to an individual's survival instincts to quell stress and anxiety. Red banded agate promotes determination and encourages physical health and energy, while making the bearer more courageous.

Summary

Agate helps the bearer maintain a healthy physical and emotional balance that enhances self-control and raises consciousness. Bulk agate is also known to increase self-confidence and prosperity. The other colors or types have their own known good effects on the bearer which make them smart buys. Stocking your store with bulk agate to supplement your store's metaphysical gemstones is a smart way to diversify your inventory and draw attention to the unique qualities of these stones.

Why You Should Not Only Focus On The Metaphysical Properties Of Crystals

You should not only focus on the metaphysical properties of crystals alone if you want to enjoy success with crystals.

Granted that you need to know the metaphysical properties of crystals to harness crystals powers, but prior to that you should not miss out the 3 key steps.

Before I tell you what the 3 key steps are, I want you to know that when you purchase a crystal from a shop, you have only physically own the stone. Metaphysically, you have not till you completed the 3 steps that I'm about to share.

And I'm referring to crystals cleansing, crystals charging and crystals programming.

From a metaphysical view point, crystals cleansing refers more than just removing the dirt or soil. It also refers to erasing any energy or message impregnated into the crystals early.

The crystals you see on the display cabinet went through many processes before gotten themselves into the cabinet. During the journey, many people handled them, and in the process, energy or messages - either good or bad - are impregnated into the stones.

Remember that crystals are energy enumerator. They can transmit both good and bad vibes depending on what were recorded in their memories. Unfortunately, it's difficult to tell whether the vibes are good or bad, so the safest way is to erase them off their memory.

Crystals cleansing can be simply putting the crystals under running tap water, or soaking in sea salt water overnight.

Your next step is crystals charging. This involves rejuvenating and restoring the vibes of the crystals. If you are new to crystals, this step is analogous to charging a flat rechargeable battery.

Sunning it for a few hours is a way to complete this step, but take note that not all crystals can be sunned.

Read on to learn other ways of crystals cleansing and charging.

Finally, you should program your crystals with your desirable message. This involves transferring your desirable outcome (vibes) into the crystals. You can do this by visualizing your expected outcome, and allowing the mental images to diminish into the crystals.

For crystals programming to work, the key is to have all the sensory vividness of reality incorporated in your mental images during visualization.

Check out the metaphysical properties of crystals, complete these 3 steps and allow the energy of the crystals to work for you.

The Lost Art of Metaphysical Healing

All healing is spiritual and all healing begins with understanding the power of the mind. There is miraculous power in certain esoteric metaphysical teachings. Miracles do happen.

I do not advocate avoiding doctors or refusing any specific medical treatments. Yet, more and more doctors are recognizing the spiritual aspects of healing. This brief article will help you understand the role of the mind in the healing process.

A spiritual document called A Course in Miracles was written by Dr. Helen Schucman and Dr. William Thetford in the 1970's. Dr. Schucman dictated the book based on an inner voice, which she described as coming from a divine source, specifically Jesus Christ. I call it a metaphysical masterpiece. The Course consists of a text, a manual for teachers and a workbook for students. I am not a teacher. I am speaking as a student sharing my understanding of the teachings.

Unlike other explanations of healing and faith, the Course does not portray God as a judge of our faith in Him, i.e. if your faith is strong enough, God will heal you. Rather, the teaching describes the miraculous power that results from "joining" the mind with the Holy Spirit, who is really you. This joining releases the mind from every demand or judgment.

Another word for this release of the mind from earthly concerns is "forgiveness". The Course is a non-dualistic teaching which denies the existence of anything but God. The world we think we see is a dream, much more like a movie than a reality - the only reality being God. The mind projects the dream of separation. Ultimately, even the mind is an illusion that is unknown to God. The Course teaches that we have everything Jesus has, the only difference between us and Him is that He has nothing else.

The following is a startling explanation of healing and faith quoted from the Course. It is unlike any other spiritual teaching you will hear about mind, body and healing:

"The body cannot heal, because it cannot make itself sick. It needs no healing. Its health or sickness depends entirely on how the mind perceives it, and the purpose that the mind would use it for. It is obvious that a segment of the mind can see itself as separated from the Universal Purpose." (p.398)

Healing consists of forgiving the segment of the mind that sees itself as separate and joining with the one Mind or "Universal Purpose."

The Disappearance of the Universe by Gary Renard contains teachings that were given to the author by two ascended masters. The book and the teachings both support and simplify the teachings of A Course in Miracles with regard to metaphysical healing.

Consider the case of Louise Hay who began teaching techniques for metaphysical healing in the 1970's. Coincidentally, the same decade when A Course in Miracles was published. Louise Hay had an opportunity to put her techniques to the test when she was diagnosed with vaginal cancer. She considered surgery and drugs before deciding that she would try to heal herself. She began an intensive program of affirmations, creative visualization, nutritional cleansing, and psychotherapy. After six months, Louise's doctors were amazed to discover she was cancer free.

In 2009 the world can benefit from an understanding of metaphysical healing more than ever. We are living longer thanks to medical science. Metaphysical teachings and the lost art of metaphysical healing can help us discover who we really are and where we are really going.

Spiritual Growth - The Metaphysics Of Fast Food Service In The Bible

We humans tend to have a penchant for 'pouring' cities and leveling hills. It seems we love to create networks of streets, businesses, and housing developments. We are enthusiastic about pouring concrete, macadam, and steel over what were once natural landscapes. We lose little time cutting interstate highways and planting shopping centers, shopping malls, and golf courses on perfectly good land.

Metaphysically, the ego does all it can to urbanize the natural spirituality of our human nature. It flattens our 'peaks of higher spiritual consciousness,' clogs the flow of Spirit, and does its best to construct intellectual grids of dogma and tradition upon our evolving inner landscapes.

This article is about improving our spiritual consciousness so we can live more fully -- and permanently -- at the speed of our Christ Consciousness. One of the greatest prosperity stories in the New Testament is the story where Jesus the Christ feeds thousands of men, women, and children on a hillside.

Metaphysically, this historical event symbolizes an internal process which goes on in our minds. I refer to this particular story as the first fast food service in the New Testament. The story appears in all four Gospels, but I shall use John's Gospel since it contains elements which are not mentioned in the other Gospels. Read John 6:1-15 in your favorite New Testament version.

This event takes place at the time of the Passover, an important historical Jewish holiday. There would have been hundreds of thousands of people traveling to Jerusalem. Did Jesus feed thousands of people with five loaves of bread and two fish? It seems incredible doesn't it! Did the generosity of a little boy compel thousands of other people to share what they had? Perhaps. Did Christ have the power to manifest anything He wanted? Of course! However, I believe the importance of this story rests with its metaphysical interpretation which makes it one of the greatest formulas for prosperity ever found.

The meanings of key phrases, terms, and characters in this story metaphysically interpreted:

Sea of Galilee represents the Garden of Eden

Sea of Tiberias stands for right thinking

Crowds usually represent a mindset that seeks spiritual understanding

Jesus symbolizes our quickening Christ potential

Disciples are our higher mental faculties and spiritual capacities

Passover represents passing over sense pursuits by choosing a higher state of spiritual consciousness

Philip stands for the power of the spoken word through affirmations and denials

Andrew represents a Spirit-oriented strength of mind

Simon Peter personifies a deepening faith

Boy generally represents childlike faith and imagination

People seated our comfort and acceptance of our Christ Nature

5 loaves stand for ever-present substance which underwrites the capacity of our five senses to manifest our good

2 fishes symbolize both formative and creative divine ideas

12 baskets represent the 12 highest spiritual qualities within us that are quickened and strengthened by the influence of Spirit

When we toss all of these characters and key concepts into a metaphysical basket, here's what we get:

When we focus on our connection with our Christ Self using affirmations and denials to declare our good, we will be able to manifest incredible abundance through the strength of our faith, which in turn quickens all of our highest spiritual faculties so that we can become the best Christs we can be.

Frauds in the Metaphysical Field Part 3

SOME POINTS TO CONSIDER AND REMEMBER

1. Before looking for causes of your personal problems and their solutions in the metaphysical world and field, look for them in the physical realm. This also applies to phenomena that you may not understand. Instead of believing that they are supernatural in nature, first rationalize if their causes are not of a physical character.

2. Avoid systems of paranormal or metaphysical development that do not stress or lay down spiritual principles as their foundation. Those that teach metaphysics without the basic spiritual, ethical, and moral precepts are unknowingly the instruments of the Dark forces that ever seek to delay the spiritual progress of humanity.

3. Avoid metaphysical schools and teachers that offer "instant" psychic or spiritual unfoldment. These schools and teachers are not aware of the short-term and long-term adverse effects of their methodology. This is not to say that their methods do not work. What we are implying here is that there are dangers that they are ignorant of. Though they may think, feel and declare that dangers do not exist, dangers are inherent and do exist in any forced psychic growth. If you are seriously and sincerely interested in studying metaphysics, then we suggest that you find yourself a genuine teacher or school with genuine spiritual traditions, lineage, and roots. Their instructions and guidance are life-long and not limited to a short-course of study. They will teach you how to unfold spiritually and psychically naturally, and not force your growth in any way whatsoever.

4. Avoid paranormals and metaphysicians that make bombastic claims and advertise themselves excessively. The genuine metaphysician does not make much use of advertisements. He or she knows that their helpfulness to the public would spread from mouth to mouth. It is just an ego-trip that makes paranormals advertise themselves glamorously. Let us reason this out: even medical doctors and psychologists who serve the public do not advertise themselves in a glamorous fashion, why then should paranormals reduce themselves below the level of other social servants? The psychological reasons are usually insecurity, a sense of inferiority, ego-centeredness, or malice.

5. Avoid teachers of psychicism that commercialize their teachings or services in an irrational and ostentatious manner. They would overcharge you for their services, and make you dependent upon them so that you would return to them again and again. The genuine metaphysician will help you to help yourself and not seemingly help you but enriching themselves financially in the process. Please recognize the difference. We do not imply here that it is wrong for the metaphysician to charge for his services. On the contrary, charging for services is an acceptable practice in any field. What should be avoided are seeking aid from paranormals making irrational and excessive demands. Paranormals or metaphysicians making strange and unethical demands should be avoided at all cost.

6. Avoid dubious characters posing as paranormals, metaphysicians, adepts, Spiritual Gurus, Masters and Teachers. Always learn as much as you can of their character, their motives and purpose before establishing a Guru-Chela (Disciple) relationship with them or seeking their help in any way.

7. Be cautious of the services, wares, and products of paranormals. Disregard any predictions that they make concerning your future. Fortune telling is a dangerous pastime when taken too seriously. Genuine metaphysicians will hardly predict someone's future. The acceptance of one's predicted "future" causes passivity and submission and this a true metaphysician will not allow. He will not teach or cause one to accept one's fate but instead teach how to create one's future. One is to be a cause of one's well-being and happiness and not be the receiving end of some adversity caused by external forces.

The Characteristics of a Spiritual Master

We would like to point out some of the qualities of an adept or a true spiritual Master of Metaphysics. By making this list it is hoped that the metaphysical student will know a true Master when he meets one and also to discover the right goals of attainment, the characteristics that should be acquired in order to reach Mastership; however, we caution the reader not to superficially adopt these characteristics in order to misrepresent themselves as Masters.

A Master expresses beauty in everything he/she says, with every physical movement, with every glance. He is likewise deeply sensitive to beauty in all forms.

A Master never directs attention to himself. He never indulges in self-aggrandizement, self-promotion, self-centered thought, self-centeredness, etc. He is egoless.

A Master has a strong, steady gaze that penetrates the soul. They often seem to be looking into the infinite distance.

A Master has deep respect for all members of the kingdoms of Nature.

A Master's very presence radiates power.

Unconditional love is a basic quality of a Master. A Master never judges. He is always impersonal, detached and compassionate.

A true Master is a Master of Wisdom. His understanding of life and Cosmic laws far exceeds those of the average person.

A Master though possessing some or all spiritual and psychic powers have renounced their use except for emergencies and urgencies. He, therefore, will hardly ever reveal to anyone that he has them.

A Master never commands he simply suggest, he never instills fear but awakens courage. He never makes you feel bad of yourself; on the contrary, he helps you build self-esteem.

As a rule, a Master never predicts a person's future and he never flatters the human ego.

A Master will always lead and direct you to the ultimate goal. Though he may teach the lower laws, truths and forces applicable to the improvement of mundane life he will not place too much emphasis upon them instructing that the phenomenal world is nothing but a dream and is illusory from the absolute perspective. He will direct your attention to more important matters.

A Master seldom speaks of his past, of himself, of his background, etc., unless it is pertinent and useful as illustrations in the conveyance of spiritual teachings to others.

A Master is detached from the occurrences of mundane life and the effects of human experience. He would never feel psychological pain should he find himself in adverse conditions, neither would he feel too overjoyed in times of prosperity. He is psychologically stable and centered, and is in a constant state of bliss at all times no matter what the outer circumstance.

A Master is universal and non-sectarian in his attitudes. He sees all men as an expression of the Supreme regardless of their religious leanings, their color, race, sex, etc. Though a Master may not be religious, he is deeply spiritual.

A true Master is creatively original. Being enlightened by his own divine essence a Master would teach or even write books directly from his heart and own experience. He would never plagiarize the work of another or teach things that are outmoded. It should be realized though that most Masters do not write many books--they leave that to their disciples.

Masters do not argue. They know that no amount of argument would convince the skeptic, and to those who are true seekers no argument would be necessary. They also never proclaim or reveal their spiritual status and speak only when their words are beneficial and cause positive motion. Masters, are therefore, usually reticent.

A Master embodies most, if not all of the divine virtues.

A Master is sweet, simple, and childlike; but when they focus their attention upon the problems of humanity they are a fount of wisdom.

A Master is often unpredictable, and his ways are not always understood.

A true spiritual Master never engages or indulges in low psychic activities. A Master serves by awakening the slumbering soul within man.

Although compassionate, a Master never sympathize with the feelings of the human ego for he does not recognize imperfection, he is simply aware of the perfection of God indwelling in the divine spark within microcosmic man.

A Master has no longer any egoic desires, he no longer functions from the personality level; he has long given up his human will in favor of the expression of the Divine Will of God.

A Master never complains, he knows no suffering for he transcends it. He also knows no death for his consciousness goes way beyond the confines of time and space.

A true Master does not hasten a student's psychic growth prematurely by any "transference" of power. He always predominately concentrates upon raising the consciousness, improving the character, the spirituality, and increasing the wisdom and the understanding of his students.

A Master never judges the outer person of others but looks into the depths of their soul for value.

A Master never makes others feel guilty or sinful in any way, however, he does lead others from darkness into Light.

Although detached, impersonal, and sometimes seemingly aloof, a Master is full of affection for his chelas (students).

A Master appreciates every small service that is offered to him and the great work of manifesting the Divine Plan.

Perhaps one of the most outstanding and admirable characteristics of Spiritual Masters is that they do not consider themselves as Masters. This is their humility. They know that they still have a considerable amount of things to master and learn; they are so much aware that they are still undergoing the learning process and are embarrassed to call themselves "Masters" or have anyone else call them that.

By explaining the above the writer of this article does not imply in any way that he's a Spiritual Master--far from it. The road where he is standing still extends to the unseen distance. In any case, it is not for the human ego to assert. We emphasize the principle that by the fruits we shall know the tree. In truth, the human ego is nothing--God everything. In performing their divine and spiritual duties Spiritual Masters declare: "It is not I that works but the 'Father' within me."

The Awareness of Metaphysical Laws and Principles Part 2

Awareness of Self

Most people identify the lower components of their microcosmic being as the Self. This is a misconception that results in suffering and pain in everyday experiences. It also prolongs soul-bondage to matter, to Maya, to the wheel of birth and rebirth. Buddhism, for example, teaches that there is no self in that which is ephemeral, and although exoterically, they deny the existence of a self within man, teachers of Vajrayana Buddhism do assert the existence of what they call "the Clear Light of the Void" which is correlative with the concept of the Self in Hindu Philosophy. This Self is independent of the lower principles within the microcosmic being of man. In Western Esotericism, this Self is called "the Monad," "the Virgin Spirit," or "the Divine Spark" issued from the Universal Supreme Being. It is a "fragment" or a facet of the Divine Universal Self, the Universal Being; and as such, it has all the qualities and attributes of its "Parent-Flame."

The One God is often described in Christian literature as omnipresent, omniscient, and omnipotent. To the Buddhist It is Unborn, Unconditioned, Unlimited and Unformed. It is the Tao, with which Lao Tse knew to be nameless. The Real, Divine Being within is our True Being. It is "man" created in God's image. In actuality, it is God individualized as man. Man's Real Self is perpetually attuned with the Divine Mind of the Supreme being and through that attunement, partakes of divine nourishment. Awareness of, and the identification with the Real, with Reality and Truth lies the secret of the Ages related to illumination, life, and power. Conversely, ignorance of man's true estate is the cause of spiritual death. It is a state of non-awareness of the verities of the Divine Self and Absolute Reality. Ignorance causes us to misapprehend the external world. We perceive it as solid and stable, whereas it is void and subjected to the Law of Change. In his book, The Inner Reality, Paul Brunton defines ignorance in this way :

"Ignorance means that you confuse the unreal with the Real, and that you take sense-impressions, thoughts, opinions, or visions to be the one permanent reality which is unchanging." (1952:174)

In contrast to our Real Ego, that which we call our self is an illusion. It is our consciousness deeming itself to be a separate being, a created creature. Our waking consciousness is an integral part of the ocean but it believes itself to be an individual droplet. The Aquarian Gospel considers this concept of the self to be an illusion that should pass away if one aspires to illumination, enlightenment, or salvation--it is insufficient to simply call "Lord, Lord . . . " (Matt. 7:22-23). The Aquarian Gospel, a manuscript derived from Akashic sources also claims that the lower nature of man, the carnal self is the devil within. It says that,

"The only devil from which men must be redeemed is self, the lower self. If man would find his devil he must look within; his name is self." (8:21)

Understanding and being aware of our Real Self is essential if we are to live and function constructively and creatively in the lower worlds as a divine being. Self-reliance, self-confidence, and self-expression take on a deeper meaning when these attributes are realized to be dependent upon the True Self and not to the false ego. Self-confidence is in reality God-confidence. Reliance on the false ego for motivation and inspiration creates unpleasant circumstances as well as the grotesque, obnoxious and repulsive sights and sounds that we see about us. Let us take "self-expression," for instance, as applied in the philosophy and cultivation of art. Every artist is more or less aware of this term. But the "self" they believe in and refer to is simply the content of their subconsciousness, which more often than not, is filled with psychedelic images, gruesome forms, phobias, neurosis, and unresolved energies. Most critics of the art world hold such "self-expressions," so-called artistic works in high regard. The standard of divine beauty it would seem--the expression of the true uniqueness of the Monad, as a facet of the Supreme Being, as was known in ancient Greece--has practically been forgotten by modern man who is materialistically-oriented. We can see from this that the aesthetical sense of a large portion of humanity has been degraded by ignorance of the true Self coupled with an impure subconscious and conscious mind.

Putting off the old man, the false ego, and putting on the new, the Higher Self, becomes a necessity if a utopian-consciousness is to be made manifest in man's mind and to appear as Heaven on earth. This is the Christian's long awaited Kingdom of God in which the vigil and the waiting are observed but not the laying of the foundation. It is the fact of man's dual nature that caused the Nazarene Master in the Aquarian Gospel to quip that,

"Man is the Truth and falsehood strangely mixed." (22:12)

It is incumbent upon the metaphysician to point out to the seekers the manner in which this may be achieved, in which the synthetic image of man may be shed, for most if not all of our social ills are derived from ignorance--from man's false identification with the unreal. Sacrifices of animals in ancient cultures and religions are outward, symbolical practices of the sacrificing of one's carnal self upon the altar of truth. Consorting with the false, and mortal principles makes it difficult for it to be sacrificed and to identify with the true. In the Corona Class Lessons, "Kuthumi" comments on this:

"The frailty of human reason is ever in its identification with the finite self. A sense of being entangled in the process of identification with the objects and experiences hinders the revelation of man's true spiritual nature." (1986:259)

Our present world-dilemma is actually a manifestation of the identity-crisis in man. The only antidote to this problem is in the principle of being centered, and living in God-Consciousness rather in the lower consciousness of the mind. About two thousand years ago we were exhorted by the Christ to seek that we shall find. After looking here and there, many still do not know what they are seeking or why. That which is sought for lies within and not without, and it is Truth that we seek that discloses to us our Reality, our True self. The quest for the Holy Grail in the Authurian legends is simply the search for one's immortal principle, for the Reality beyond the Veil of Isis. This truth emancipates us from mortal limitations, mortal conditions, mortal thoughts--mortality, in short. In teaching, healing and counseling the metaphysician has to stress the importance of this vital law. Most, if not all metaphysical techniques and principles depend on the right understanding of man's Divine, immortal nature.

FINDINGS

In this section we will discuss some of the various principles applicable to the metaphysical ministry as related to the themes mentioned in the previous chapter. As man never ceases to be a student of Nature, so the metaphysician never desist from learning the higher unseen causes that affects one's world, and the laws and principles whereby one may be a master of his world, of one's destiny. It would, therefore, be impossible to deal exhaustively with all of the principles and the finer points of Cosmic Laws that the metaphysician should be aware of, as there are many of such that are as yet to be discovered. We will instead discuss a few that we feel to be of vital importance to one's ministry.

The Immaculate Concept

Many people are besieged by depressive thoughts--not all of which are of their own making. For negative thoughts, the tempting demons that they are, may have an external source that attaches themselves to vulnerable persons. Occultism actually call these "larva." Thoughts are things. They are energy-patterns that possesses independent life of their own, and as such they may live outside of the force-field of their creator. According to psychics, these thoughts, or thought-forms, may appear in varied forms, in accord with the nature of those thoughts. Negative thoughts such as greed, for instance, may appear like a creature resembling an octopus with its many tentacles. Thoughtforms may attach themselves to people other than the creator of those thoughts, and they may have detrimental effects upon the psyche, and the somatic system--that is, if the thoughtforms are debased, negative, depressive, and destructive in nature. It is by being aware of this principle that we may exercise a certain power of good by using it constructively for the benefit of our fellow beings. Indonesian shamanism and Javanese Kejawen recognize these harmful larva that attaches themselves to one's aura, and engage in empowered shower-rituals called "ruwatan" to cleanse one's force-field from the presence of these quasi-beings and their destructive work.

It is apparent from the above that there are two points to be considered:

1) The protection of man against negative forces and thoughtforms.

2) The conveying of the Truth, the immaculate concept regarding man--the highest, divine thoughts and principles on Reality and the True Self to one's fellow men.

Regarding the first point, it would be important to recall the law that "like attracts like." The metaphysician should personally practice and educate his clients of the necessity of being pure in body, mind, and soul; and of thinking, feeling, and living constructively, creatively, positively, and divinely. This may effectively be carried-out by the correct knowing, identification and awareness of what constitutes the True Self. Purity and the positive state of mind acts as an etheric barrier to unknown sources of negative energies and forces in the forms of thoughts and feelings that seek to strike the unwary. Indonesian shamanism teaches of two forms of possessions, one by a living entity and this is called "kesurupan." The other by negative energies and this is referred to as "kesambet." The importance of protection against being kesambet is the reason why in the Eightfold-path of Buddhism we are taught to think and act rightly, in conformity to the divine purity of our innate nature. Another method of protection of great usefulness is to mentally create a white light surrounding the physical form. This acts effectively as a shield against the onslaught of negative thoughtforms, and mental and psychic attack.

The above principles implies that each and every one of us may be responsible for the many forms of crime in our society even though physically we may not have lifted a hand to cause any violence. Our unbridled fantasies and repressive emotions of a base nature are contributing causes of social felony and violence. For example, we may fantasize exterminating someone whom we dislike, and although not doing it in actuality, the thought lives on and tempts a poor weak soul who does listen to the "demonic voices" and thus initiates action. It is even probable that we are chosen to be the victims. Thus, externally, we may fall prey to our own thoughts and feelings; this is our inner reality taking shape and reflecting upon the world that we experience. We become a victim of circumstances by having created and putting the causes into motion in the realm of the mind. The Piscean avatar warned us of this principle by saying that to lust after a married woman is the same as committing adultery.

This brings us to the second point which is the converse side of the above. Holding the concept, the idea of our immaculate divine nature in our minds, by knowing and attuning with the Divine Mind, we tend to telepathically stimulate the minds of others as well, awakening them from their spiritual slumber. This should be reinforced by perceiving others not as they appear to be but what they are in Reality--the Divine Self. Our divine influence upon others is thus enhanced. No judgment and condemnation could occur in such a state and conflict is annihilated. With such a state of mind we radiate energy of a certain frequency that stimulates all with whom we come into contact. In India, for instance, the people intuitively know this and when the chance occurs, they would gather around holy sages for a "darshan." The negative side of this is that they end up worshipping images and divine messengers and not applying in their lives the Word of God pouring forth from their mouths--Jesus Christ was such an example. Nowadays more emphasis is placed on the importance of his person rather than on his teachings, which if they had been applied, would have long ago manifested Heaven on earth and triggered the "second-coming." The Nazarene Master had such a spiritual quality in his aura and mien, and he lived in such a manner that even the possessive entities recognized him as a "Son of God." Apparently, the magnetic waves radiating from his person were a little too intense for their liking.

From the above we can see how necessary it is to refrain from judging and gossiping about others, from perceiving their so-called weaknesses which are merely of the lower components of their being and thinking that they are real, whereas instead we should focus more on what is. Seeing perfection is a means of materializing it--it is having that intense faith built upon the foundation of Truth that has the power to move mountains to the sea; it is seeing the Divine Self made manifest in the physical world; to see the macrocosm, God's immaculate image, in the microcosm. This living idea influences spiritually, and telepathically, the lethargic minds who are unable to hold the vision for themselves. The professional metaphysician should establish his relationships with clients and students based upon such an insight, for it connects and unites his Higher Self with theirs. Divine Healing in a holistic manner then becomes an easy matter. To hold an immaculate concept of ourselves and others--on behalf of ourselves and others--is the task and onus of a metaphysical practitioner.

Metaphysical Healing

Too many therapeutical systems deal exclusively with the symptoms or effects of an inharmonious condition occurring within a person. Seldom do they consider the immaterial causes that bring dis-ease into manifestation. It is estimated that around 80% of our varied illnesses have their cause in the psyche--the emotional and mental being of man. This would indicate that medicine working exclusively upon mere symptoms and not treating the core of the problem is 80% ineffective in resulting in a permanent cure. This is not to infer that medicine proper is without worth as a therapeutical system, it is just that it has to include in its methods the proper evaluation and diagnosis of the psycho-states that results in ill-health--and indeed, advances are being made in the field of psychosomatic medicine. It is in this field that one begins to thread in the area of metaphysical healing, for this particular form of therapy is concerned with one's spiritual balance, with the state and condition within one's psyche. Spiritual health--the state of being in harmony with the universe, with the Tao--is the basis of physical health. In the years to come medical science will probe deeply into the subtle bodies, studying occult anatomy and physiology. This study, however, should be undertaken now by the metaphysician if he is to be an effective instrument of healing. The healing of others, and self-healing is a challenge to every individual, and it is the work of the metaphysician to inculcate the principles and techniques of health and healing to the populace.

Faith plays a prominent role in any system of healing. It would be accurate to say that without faith and the will to live, chances for healing is reduced by a large margin. In most "miraculous" healings, it is this spiritual quality of receptiveness which faith instills that allows the divine energies from the Universal Source to descend into the psyche to purify, and to energize the psychosomatic system. This is a principle that should be recognized by the metaphysician as he is too likely to believe that he is the sole instrument in any healing treatment. Patients are likewise in error should they consider that they were healed by a certain healer after having visited a whole line of doctors and healers. The healing process probably started a long time before it culminated in a healing-treatment given by a certain healer. The healer likewise develops arrogance and pride as a result of believing that s/he is the sole cause of the healing.

In the metaphysical healing process, the arousal of faith in the mind of the patient should be the first step. This principle was known by the ancient practitioners of theurgy and thaumaturgy. The Piscean Avatar, for instance, made it a prerequisite condition for those seeking his divine aid in returning a state of harmony back into their physical bodies. The role faith play in healing is one of the reasons why catalysts in the form of amulets and talismans that influence and transform the conscious and subconscious minds are sometimes effective in healing--as every Polynesian Kahuna and shaman knows.

Not every individual is easily healed. There may be various reasons why a healing may not take place. People get ill for various reasons and although in their conscious minds they may seek alleviation from their illnesses, but deep down inside their subconscious mind they may not at all be anxious to get well. This may seem to be paradoxical, nevertheless, this is a true state of things, and one that faces the challenge of the metaphysician to get to the root of the problem. Some of the possible reasons why people unconsciously militate against the amelioration of their health is that they desire the attention of others. Feelings of being unloved causes an emptiness in the heart and disrupts the natural frequency of the energy-centers in the etheric body. Being ill gives them a morbid sense of fulfillment in the attention that they crave that is being shown upon them. Ted Andrews in his book, The Healer's Manual, gives other pertinent reasons which we will not belabor here.

The Metaphysical Surgeon

Degeneration and Leaking Systems.

Our bodies 'run down' and begin to function badly because they 'loose vital energy' in the body systems. This loss of 'vitality' is mainly due to several things happening at once:

1. Inherited Genetic Programming slowing down systems.

2. Lifestyle Stresses that overwork and 'burn out' systems.

3. Modern Environmental Pollutants, chemicals, poisons and toxins.

4. 'Leaking' Energy systems from aging, injury and improper healing.

The Modern Surgeon.

The Modern Surgeon is trained with medical knowledge and the scalpel to enter, remove and repair parts of the body that don't function properly. Cutting with the scalpel affects; tissue, vessels and energy-lines in a negative way. While the surgery is successful and the body recovers, such cuts still leave impaired function. This becomes apparent when applying Metaphysical Surgery to the client after Modern Surgery. In addition, Modern Surgery is often unpredictable and dangerous. The bodies 'defense mechanisms' are temporarily 'switched off' and left vulnerable. There are other better, 'non-invasive' ways to restore health.

The Metaphysical Surgeon does not compromise the safety of the person nor contradict the normal functioning of the body. Rather, influences the body through clever 'natural influence' to brings about change through stimulation, redirection and re-balance of 'vital energy'. The Metaphysical Surgeon restores the body to health by 'turning on' and stimulating the bodies own natural systems.

Spinning Wheels.

The Metaphysical Surgeon is like an 'plumber of energy'; stimulating, manipulating and redirecting energy into the body. The aim is to restore proper function and balance. In addition, this prevents a whole host of health problems that build as we get older. By stimulating the 'Chakras' in a healthy and balanced manner, a great deal of the 'aging process' is 'put-off' and prevented, possibly indefinitely. Image being one hundred with all your facilities in perfect working order. This is now a very real working reality!.

Energy Channels.

The Metaphysical Surgeon is very familiar with the 'spinning energy centers' called Chakras. These 'spinning centers' are critical in drawing into the 'body systems' the vital fourth dimensional energy that 'pumps up' and sustains all the 'lower ' systems. This 'converted' energy flows directly into the onto the Nadis. The Nadis are not nerves but tiny channels of; ' spinning force', 'consciousness' or 'subtle awareness'. The Nadis channels prana energy (chi, qi or Ki) directly into the nerve endings, etheric layers and physical structures. From the Nadis, energy runs along the nerves to the Endocrine System. This is a critical connection. Any blockage to the Endocrine System results in reduced hormone production. The changes brought about in these consecutive body systems all directly benefit from initially stimulating the Chakras.

Repairing, Systems.

The Metaphysical Surgeons' approach to long healthy life is then to provide maximum stimulation to the Energy Systems via the Chakras and also by plugging 'leaks' to the system via therapy, education and manipulation. Chakras must be stimulated with; care, consideration and skill. It is a 'double-edged' sword. The body can be made stronger with the correct stimulation or made weaker by incorrect application of this knowledge. Training, practice and natural insight are the necessary combination to give the The Metaphysical Surgeon the ability to restore health and vitality to clients in need of care.

Metaphysics, the Election & America's Fate

(UPDATE Nov 5, 2008 - We have made a decision. We have chosen a path. America has selected Barak Obama as our new president. This, of course, is only the first step of a new beginning. What remains is for us to embrace and embody the energy, principles, values and potential of this new era, and bring them to fruition in our everyday lives. Yesterday, we planted the first seeds. Now we must nurture them.)

We're in the final stretch of the 2008 presidential race. In just a few hours we will make a most important decision about our nation's future. Not only will we select a new president on Tuesday, November 4 but we will also choose between two fates. Which way should we go? The race, the candidates and the choice we face all personify the crossroads in consciousness that we as Americans have reached. While the candidates have shared the direction in which they plan to lead the nation, the recent presidential and vice presidential debates revealed a hidden dimension of dialogue between Cosmic Consciousness and America about the path we need to take.

The Real Debate

During the first presidential debate, there came a moment of deep insight that opened my spiritual eyes and ears about what we're really facing as a nation. The surface issue: Should we meet with the Iranian leader (or leaders of other hostile nations) without pre -conditions? Absolutely not, according to McCain. Perhaps so, argued Obama. "...this notion by not talking to people we are punishing them has not worked," Obama said. Instantly, I saw something underneath the surface that I hadn't noticed before: Isn't that how a five-year-old handles conflict-by pouting, not talking to the "enemy," and demanding to get his or her way? And isn't that what we continue to do as adults if we never learn more effective ways of dealing with conflict, challenge and change? So a big metaphysical question behind the election is this: Are we as a nation ready to grow up, yes or no? That's the real debate.

Despite the nation's age and the achievements that have taken place during the last 200+ years, it seems we still have a lot of growing up to do beneath the surface. We've been shouting "Mine, mine, mine!" for a very long time, which many of our policies and much of our history reflect. This is an evolutionary dead-end. In other words, we are facing extinction as a powerful, independent nation. Already we are in a steep decline intellectually, physically, spiritually, financially, culturally, socially, and in a number of other ways. This has been apparent for quite some time. On November 4, what evolutionary path are we going to choose instead?

The Call for Change

Change. Real Change. These are not just campaign slogans but rather an inescapable cosmic message. A mere "changing the guard" will make no difference for us if the energy behind our circumstances do not change with it. Metaphysical change is about healing and transformation from the inside out. If our values are not different, if our philosophy is not different, if our perspective and commitment are not different, the outcome will be no different regardless of what we do. This is because every decision and every effort will always be directed toward the same end for the same reasons. The leader of any community - be it a nation, a league of nations, or a small neighborhood group - serves as a conduit for the energy that will underlie its development. He or she harnesses and focuses the energy that will give the group direction. If he does not understand the relationship between the energy, the community, and the path the community must take, he will be unable to benefit the people regardless of what his experience may be. Understanding, not mere experience, is what prevents history from repeating itself. It is through understanding that one gains awareness of the principles of a thriving community and wisdom about how to apply those principles to bring about growth, healing and transformation.

In the metaphysical world there are no mistakes and there are no coincidences. For a nation in such desperate need of growth, healing and transformation, I find it incredibly revealing that we are so divided between a candidate that physically embodies the path of the old, the inflexible, the cancerous and the easily agitated, and a candidate that embodies the path of the youthful, the open-minded, the healthy and the calm. The reality is that learning and leadership happen more by emulation and example than anything else. Which of the candidates' energies would you desire to emulate in your everyday life? Which example would you choose to set for all the world to see?

Responsibility & Our Karmic Footprint

The vice-presidential debate was no less revealing about the karmic crisis America faces. It was a poignant cosmic dialogue about our responsibility as human beings and as a nation. It was also a clear statement that the time to do what we need to do is quickly running out. While on the surface the candidates debated the value of having a "timeline of responsibility" as a strategy for war (Biden for it, Palin against), the fact is that we walk a timeline of responsibility our entire lives. Responsibility is a core catalyst for growth. How much time do you really have to accept responsibility in your life before the damage of irresponsibility becomes irreversible? Imagine, for example, a child who never tries to feed himself. How long would you as a parent wait to address it? 7 years? 25 years? 50 years? Until he starved the death? We've forgotten who is responsible for America. As a result, we as a nation and as individual citizens are left needing to take responsibility for quite a number of things that have gone unaddressed - some for decades, some for centuries. Those things are culminating now in crises and calamities of epic proportions.

Many issues are at stake. The economy, taxes, the war, terrorism, the environment, the health crisis, and the energy crisis just to name a few. In metaphysical terms, however, no crisis is an island. Each is merely a different face of the same core conflicts that need to be resolved. For example, the call to develop alternative energy is both a literal and symbolic call to find an alternative way to fuel our society at every level.

We've left a big, muddy, karmic footprint on the world with the toxic fuel we've been running on: competition. The alternative fuel we desperately need: cooperation. A competitive society by nature is oppressive. A cooperative society is supportive. Cooperation is an uncomfortable choice for many and, unfortunately, a choice many won't make unless war or some natural disaster forces their hand. That's a very high tax to pay.

Life is full of challenges that spark internal debate. While we might not want to answer the questions that the Great Moderator (Life) asks because we're unprepared, choosing to avoid the issues and stick to our script breeds complacency. Once we become complacent, we stop looking for excellence-even in our leaders. We stop expecting it to be there. And then we stop cultivating it in society, at home, at school, at work, in our relationships, and so on until excellence is nowhere to be found.

Our Next Leader, Our Next Step

I have only shared a few of the signs I saw and the messages I heard about the metaphysics behind the 2008 election and America's fate. This election day, you must take your own deep look at the issues behind the issues. Take a look at where we are and how we got here. And take a good look at what it will really take to turn things around. More importantly, we must each move beyond our fears, judgments and ignorance and take a honest look at the motivation behind our own decision. Is it a choice rooted in responsibility or a choice rooted in complacency? Is it a choice that will transform or a choice that will maintain status quo? This election is asking each of us to be more deliberate than we have ever been, not only in choosing our next leader, but in choosing a new karma for our nation. Most people feel safest with the same old approach and the same old patterns, no matter how detrimental they have turned out to be. They tend to stick with what is familiar until they hit rock bottom and there is nowhere left to go but in a new direction. Are we ready to let go of our familiar but destructive patterns in favor of something that is more compatible with the new nation we need to build? Or will we stick to our literal and metaphorical guns until we shoot both our feet off and have nothing left to stand on?

Behind the illusion of safety is the reality of stagnation. Our next leader represents our next step toward or away from a renaissance in America. On November 4, 2008 - and every day thereafter - have the courage to make the choice that has the greatest potential to set you free.

Philosophers of Metaphysics

Metaphysics is one of the most important parts of philosophy and science. From the past through present, there were many philosophers who were born to contribute something to the knowledge pool of metaphysics. Some of the world famous metaphysics philosopher are the following.

o Aristotle: He is the pioneer in the studies of metaphysics. The principle study of Aristotle is "being understood as being".

o Immanuel Kant: He is the famous philosopher of western philosophy. There is no doubt that his 'Critique of Pure Reason' is the most comprehensive analysis of Metaphysics.

o David Hume: He is the person who made us realise that the connection of necessary things is a must if we really want to learn something and gain knowledge. He made us think about the importance of an open mind.

o Bertrand Russell: His main interest was on to describe the most general and ultimate features of the world which no one has ever thought of doing.

o George Berkeley: He always tried to find out the reasons behind the origination of the words like uncertain and doubtful. He always thought that there is nothing which can stop if one really wants to achieve something.

o Albert Einstein: He contributed many quotes and extra knowledge to the pool of metaphysics by his excellent work.

There are many other philosophers who have contributed a lot to the kingdom of metaphysics. Many of them are very famous and many are not, but the contribution which was made by them will always be read and remembered.

Metaphysical Reflections

Nature holds bountiful undiscovered-as-yet secrets for humanity. Normally, we seek to unveil them through scientific means--through our laboratory equipment, processes and methodologies; however, the conventional, material methods of probing into Nature's treasure storehouse may only take us to a certain point beyond which it is difficult for three-dimensional instruments to record, and the physical senses and mind to follow and apprehend. And yet, humanity unconsciously feel that it is possible to wrest from benign Nature her many hidden arcana or esoteric laws and principles. Could it be that we are investigating the more subtle aspects of Nature through the wrong approach, through the wrong channels and processes? Could it be that we are being misled by our senses in regards to our perception and conception of time, space, and matter and that paradigm shifts from the old Corpernican, Newtonian and Einsteinian models are required in order to break through scientific humps? There are many brave scientists who are working out this problem to the ridicule of their more orthodox colleagues.

In order for Man and the Universe to be understood as well as all the phenomena that occurs therein, it is necessary to consider the so-called "abstract" and "occult" principles that was once in the domain of Religion and Philosophy--and this should be conducted in a scientific, systematic, rational and metaphysical manner. If Science is to discover the Ultimate Truth, it must not neglect its investigations into the subtle realms. By claiming that these realms or soul-phenomena do not exist for they cannot be perceived by the objective senses or monitored by instruments is prejudicial and scientifically irrational, as there are many things such as electromagnetic energies, certain gases, cosmic rays, etc. that we are unable to directly perceive and was once undetectable by instruments. By restricting its probing and search for the Ultimate First Cause solely on the physical plane Science does itself an injustice, for life here and physical phenomena are simply a fragment of a whole. Our senses only perceive a limited range of phenomena in the energy-spectrum. Scientific devices may only extend our range of perception a little further and aid us to record a little bit more. What is beyond our perception vibrates in astronomical frequencies. What we are unable to detect physically may well exist beyond the range of our senses. The investigation of Nature's more subtle aspects is not beyond the line of reason or scientific analyses if several principles are taken into consideration :

1) The higher realities must be investigated through the higher faculties of the soul, through a higher consciousness or through an altered state of awareness.

2) That which is not perceived through the objective senses does not imply its non-existence, even to a psychic's failure of perception, for they may simply be "out-of-range."

3) That the diversity and inconsistency of recorded paranormal phenomena do not indicate its non-validity as it may well be that the nature of the higher worlds reflect the influential instability or fluctuations of the investigator's mind, thoughts, and feelings.

4) That the mind moulds reality, whether physical or non-physical out of the energies of its internal and ambient environment.

5) That Cosmic or natural laws with possible mathematical formulation apply in the subtle realms as they apply here in the physical.

6) That the linear time-space continuum may not apply in the higher dimensions as they do here.

7) That the mind is not the sole faculty of knowing.

8) That some metaphysical phenomena goes way beyond our earthly concepts and the apprehension of the mind and is difficult to explain using conventional language.

9) That metaphysical phenomena are repeatable even in controlled laboratory conditions should all the natural laws factors, and variables involved in the phenomena's manifestation be taken into account.

Science is aware that the physical world as we perceive it is an illusion and yet our senses delude us by informing us that it is real with the "power to affect us in some way." If this is considered to be a criterion of "reality" then the "imaginary" worlds too are real for they likewise affect us in some manner, as psychologists would undoubtedly concur. Of metaphysical interest, one vital question emerges: is the existence of these other so-called imaginary worlds, these other "realities," part of the "Gupta Vidya," or the secret teachings that spiritual preceptors sought to convey to humanity?

Gautama Buddha once referred to the amount of teachings that he revealed to the world by comparing them with the few leaves of a tree that he had clasped in his hand. The bountiful leaves that he pointed out, still clinging to the boughs of the tree constituted that which was yet undisclosed to humanity. Several centuries later, almost at the end of his exoteric ministry, the Master Jesus said to his disciples that he had further teachings to convey to them but they were unprepared as yet for their reception. Why? What were these advanced precepts? These secret doctrines, if ever existed, are unrecorded in the New Testament. They would have been verbal--oral teachings for the selected few. Are these oral teachings still in existence or are they "lost"? Are they perhaps preserved in the consciousness of the Magi, the wise men of every ancient culture? Are they carefully guarded in certain temples and underground vaults hidden from prying eyes? Are they so spiritually scientific in nature that men unprepared with the proper moral, intellectual, and rational basis were not able to fully grasp their principles and significance? It takes a great mind to know another; it also takes a great mind to understand the great principles and laws of Nature. In the early days of recorded history only the few had attained to the desired level of understanding and were prepared to develop the greatness necessary to grasp Nature's hidden laws and principles.

How does one attain greatness, how does one become great enough to apprehend the "higher" teachings that the spiritually enlightened have to offer? We have always been advised by spiritual teachers to walk with God; to tread the strait and narrow way or the ancient path; challenged to go where angels dread; or to go where no man (mortal) has gone before, and yet, most of us feel not up to the task. The one thing that prevents us from doing so is fear--fear that has been instilled in us by superstition, religious dogma, propaganda, and other false teachings.

What is the nature of these occult principles and doctrines that the spiritual teachers throughout the ages wished to convey to humanity but had to withhold for the lack of "preparation" on the part of man? Were these secret teachings eventually given out to select persons who subsequently became the spiritual pioneers and leaders, reformers, and prophets of future generations?

Life is a mystery, however, the more we partake of the higher spiritual consciousness the more we come to understand this "mystery of mysteries." This is the unveiling of the secrets of the Egyptian goddess Isis who declared truthfully that no mortal shall ever unveil her. Isis, as the personification of Nature, was right: no man has ever or will ever unveil her to behold her naked beauty. Only when the mortal mind--which is representative of man--is displaced in favor of the immortal God-mind will we ever come to be aware and understand All That Is, all that Isis, the Divine Mother represents. Is this concept strange? The Bible states that no man shall see God and live. Indeed, the spiritual Masters tell us that no man shall see God and live--as men. The perception of God entails embodying all that God is, all of His virtues, attributes, and consciousness. To truly understand a thing we must become that thing. This is the Law of Empathy or Identification. This is what separates saints and prophets from the Cosmic gods and men-made-perfect. Saints may lead a pure and holy life; but by separating themselves from their fellow men by secluding themselves and maintaining a consciousness of duality, they do not advance to a higher spiritual status. In order for their consciousness to be raised to a higher evolutionary level, it is necessary for them to transcend all dualistic opposites, illusions and errors in mortal thinking. This we personally call Divine thinking. How shall this transition from manhood to godhood be accomplished? Spiritual teachers have always been present on Earth to direct and help uplift humanity to a higher level of consciousness and awareness. Teachers but point the way. It is up to the aspirant or disciple to tread the Path that leads to enlightenment and illumination.

In every religion there is an oral tradition--secret doctrines given out to a few. These were called "esoteric teachings." The few were privileged to receive these wisdom teachings because their mental, spiritual capacity and level, and their morality far exceeded those of the average person and were spiritualized enough to comprehend and be receptive to abstract verities. The privileged few, having duly prepared themselves spiritually, had eliminated many of the egoistic tendencies that would have caused them to misuse and abuse sacred knowledge. These secret teachings empowers one. They give tremendous powers over the forces of Nature; this was the reason for the careful guardianship by the forces of Light over them. This is sometimes portrayed in classical myths as dragons protecting gemstones or other treasures in their lair. In esoteric teachings dragons often represent wise, enlightened men. In Hindu tradition, these men were the Nagas who lived in their caves of meditation and rock temples. They were called dragons or serpents for their innate energy coiled at the base of their spine, otherwise known as kundalini, was permanently raised and wed to its higher counterpart in the crown chakra. This counterpart is the dove, the Holy Ghost. The serpent is Shakti while the dove is Shiva. About two thousand years ago the Master Jesus admonished us to be as wise as the serpent and harmless as the dove. Esoterically, he was telling us to stimulate kundalini to ascend and the dove of love, purity and the Christ-Consciousness to descend. When kundalini meets her mate she must crown him with the jewel that she ought to carry with her. Those who are familiar with esoteric and occult concepts will understand what all of the above signifies. In ancient Egypt the pharaohs wore head-dresses or crowns with the serpent, the sacred "Uraeus" protruding from the area of the Ajna chakra, the etheric energy-center located between the eyebrows. In those days it was a prerequisite for candidates to ruler-ship to be spiritually enlightened before ascending the throne; the candidates had to undergo spiritual training that would prepare them for their exalted task; however, this practice was later neglected and it subsequently caused the degeneration and corruption not only of the Egyptian rulers but the priesthood as well.

In bygone days, sacred knowledge concerning Man, Nature, the Universe and God were taught in those institutions called the Mystery Schools. In these temples of knowledge and wisdom the candidates were initiated into the Ancient Wisdom that existed long before the foundation of this world. Before such occult teachings were taught the candidates had to undergo certain tests and trials to prove their worthiness. When these tests were successfully completed and certain trials overcome the candidates were initiated into the sacred Mysteries of Life. They were taught how to acquire the gnosis, or sacred knowledge through personal soul-experience. The control of the forces within man was also taught to the novices by the Kheri-Hebs, the hierophants, or Masters. These accomplished beings instructed the novices how the subtle body of man may be exteriorized to experience the higher dimensions. Many methods were used to accomplish this by the Wise Ones such as the careful use of certain hallucinogens, hypnosis, acoustics, concentration, mesmerism, meditation, etc. The King's chamber of the Great Pyramid was particularly used as a portal of initiation into higher worlds. The immortality of man and reincarnation were basic principles taught in the sacred teachings of the Mystery Schools.

In the early days of our unrecorded history, the creator gods, the Elohim, the Lords of Mind and the Lords of Flame, walked with man in everyday life and nurtured the divine spark within him. The Spiritual Elders gave teachings to their disciples and they eventually became the rulers of civilizations and the leaders of humanity. These enlightened rulers were the God-kings and Priest-kings still talked about by students of occultism. They inaugurated our fabled Golden Ages. What we would like to mention here in passing is that some of these spiritual beings are back in physical incarnation in our present era spreading metaphysical teachings and a higher spiritual pragmatic code of life.

The higher laws and operations of Nature may be investigated through the utilization of one's soul-faculties. These inner senses of the soul must first be awakened and unfolded to a certain degree of efficiency before they may be safely applied. Metaphysics teaches man the way to personal development, to spiritual advancement, and occult unfoldment. Metaphysics as a whole, is the modern repository of the ancient and ageless secret teachings. Its more sacred doctrines belong in the field of esotericism.

Metaphysical Christianity

Mention the word "metaphysical" around a Christian fundamentalist and you will be met with a suspicious glare. That kind of talk is not found in the bible. It is modern, it is science, it is secular, it is witchcraft, it is New Age and it is a threat. I ask you however, what part of the bible is not metaphysical?

The term "metaphysical" simply refers to something that is outside the presumed limitations of physical reality. I never know how much of the bible to take literally but I do know that walking on water, rising from the dead, feeding thousands with one fish, virgin birthing, escaping bodily destruction from fire, making the blind man see, plopping down instant human beings and turning water into wine definitely pushes the boundaries of our perceived reality. I would call these activities metaphysical.

Notice that I said "perceived" reality. It is what we decide based on what appears to be. Research has recently shown us that particles and energy can be interchangeable because they are really forms of the same essence. In other words, thought energy is transmitted by actual little electric ions. The higher we are tuned to spirit vibrations, the quicker our intention gets across and in so doing it bypasses heavier, slower methods of moving these ions around. So there really is a scientific explanation for many of the miracles we find in the bible.

Do you see what this discovery means? It reconciles science and religion which have vehemently opposed each other since the beginning of time. It explains material things in spirit terms and spiritual things in material terms. I guess I call it metaphysical Christianity.

Within this understanding we are recognizing an energetic force and we are attributing good things to it such as kindness and love and healing and beauty. This force can be broken down into a comprehension of tiny electric ions which are moving in a life enhancing direction. We are at liberty to hop on at any point of the belief spectrum, but no matter where we choose to identify ourselves, there is still a reality-based explanation for our conviction.

Fundamentalists hook up to their viewpoint by way of intense, non-intellectual emotion. That's fine, ideas can be feelings and don't have to have words. Metaphysicists hook up to theirs by way of scientific explanation. That's fine too, because actually ideas and feelings are two vehicles which lead to the same understanding. Both lead to the experience of faith.

Energy and particles. Interchangeable substances. In fact, we could even do away with the word metaphysical because the phenomenon we are referring to is actually all physical. Or is it that that everything begins and ends in the spirit, so the manifestation is really just a byproduct of that great mystical power? Mystical? That word is not in the bible either, but so what? We have merged the two populations of science and religion and so we have made the world into a more integrated and harmonious place.

Ever Wondered About Metaphysics?

What does Metaphysics mean to you?

As we expand our knowledge and awareness our beliefs shift as does our vibrational energies. We learn to work with our Spirit Guides embracing their knowledge and guidance whilst learning about our purpose in this life and what it means in the greater scheme of things.

We feel the earth retaliating against the increasing amount of lost souls trying to regain balance and head towards 2012, which has a myriad of theories in itself.

As we enable our conscious minds to spiral inward and assist us connect to our higher self we cannot help and witness those that have not reached spiritual awareness or connectedness struggle in making simple decisions. Be it because Mercury is in retrograde or the corresponding astrological sign impact on the energies for the month. Maybe it is as simple as being consumed by material items because they are too afraid to go into something that has no logical explanation or room for anything than pure love and intent.

More and more I hear many doubt their religious beliefs because it does not sit with how they perceive themselves. It is ironic that religion is based on beliefs and it is a personal quest that can (and should) only be dictated by yourself. Consequently, there is no right or wrong, only what works for you and the greater good and that which harms you and the greater good. For those that are not open to anything other than what they have been told, it leaves them feeling lost and seeking something they do not even know themselves.

So, what does this all mean?

I have always had an interest in Metaphysics, even before I was aware there was a name for it. It can be challenging to find terms that actually encompasses all that is and it is this that I found covers it the best. Though, admittedly this has its own limitations.

Metaphysics can be defined as the study of nature and its reality. It is the question of what is it, why is it and how we can comprehend it. It can be perceived as the study of "invisible" nature, or what I like to call the spiritual. This includes natural, supernatural and how we perceive our reality.

The term Metaphysics is a Greek term which means "the books after the books on nature". A strange definition, I admit. Initially this study was a collection of notes that encompassed all the wonderful things some of us consider normal as Clairvoyance, Clairsentience and the list goes on and on. Like anything, because this is difficult to prove scientifically there have always been sceptics and those that would like to harm anyone that believes differently to the majority.

Even in this day and age, the simple term "Pagan" can create all sorts of discussions, most of which are completely incorrect and irrelevant. I remember a time where I would shudder to consider mentioning that I was a Pagan because of the ramifications.

Metaphysics is no different and you may find that you have an interest in it without even realising it.

So, how is our reality defined?

Is it through our values and beliefs? Is it through the development of all of our lives up to this particular point? Is it the meaning that we attach and the strategies that we play every day?

Perhaps it is all of the above and then some. Metaphysics is a study and as we find our way on our journey, fulfilling and enlightening our souls, it all is relative to the overall. It is all relative to how we want it to be.

Metaphysical Development & Disciplines Part 2

One of the most important metaphysical state to acquire is tranquility. Without calmness and serenity it is impossible to carry out most of the other metaphysical exercises or to establish a bridge between the lower and higher aspects of the microcosm. Tranquility is developed through resting the mind, body and emotions in the meditative state. In Buddhism this form of meditation is called samatha. Another form of meditation often associated with samatha is vipassana, or insight meditation. This is basically an introspective exercise where one strives to develop insight into one's real nature. When the goals of samatha and vipassana are reached one acquires the state of bodhicitta--an enlighten mind.

Our metaphysical development are marked by certain planetary initiations given in higher realms by the Spiritual Hierarchy. These initiations stabilize the new plane of consciousness and frequency-level attained as a result of spiritual evolutionary progress. These initiations also afford us a certain degree of spiritual power. There are 9 planetary initiations that concerns humanity's spiritual development into divine god-hood. Along the Spiritual Path, the average person first aspires to perfection. This is the stage of "the Aspirant." When prepared mentally and spiritually to a certain degree the Aspirant is then accepted as a disciple by a Spiritual Master. The Path of Discipleship takes one through the initiations step by step. In the first initiation he is regarded as a Christ-child newly-born. In the second and third initiation the Christ-child gradually matures. In the fourth initiation, esoterically called the "Crucifixion," the unfolding human soul attains liberation from samsara, or the cycles of birth and rebirth. Here he acquires the title of Arhat, Wali, or Saint. Human perfection is attained in the fifth initiation where one becomes a "Master." The experience of the ascension is acquired in the sixth initiation. At present, little is known of the seventh, eighth, and ninth initiations.

Metaphysical Disciplines

Below we present some invaluable principles, disciplines, and practices that would not only raise one's awareness and vibratory frequency, but also form the basis of the unfoldment of divine virtues and powers, and anchor spiritual aspects of the microcosm into the physical/etheric force-field. When the ultimate goal of these disciplines are reached or attained man will no longer be man, he will become a god, a divine being, a Son or Daughter of the Supreme Being. It has long been proclaimed by Christian evangelists that the Kingdom of God is at hand. Nowadays we hear that the Aquarian Age or the Golden Age is at hand. Nothing has essentially changed. It is the same message that the Higher Intelligences ruling the Omniverse wishes to convey to humanity. Waiting for the Kingdom of God or the Golden Age to appear is not dependent upon time in any way. It is not a future event but a state of consciousness. One will never enter heaven or the glories of the New Age by waiting. Passivity will not help man to attain the state or condition that he longs for. Man reaches the peak of attainment by striving, by personal effort, by moving along with the evolutionary current. The way has long been shown by mystics and Spiritual Masters. It is up to us to follow in their footsteps. Spiritual disciplines can be considered as the vehicle that would transport us to the spiritual goal, to the promised land flowing with milk and honey. Below are some precepts and disciplines helpful in the spiritual life:

1) Try avoiding the use of the word "I" in everyday speech. Do not emphasize the lower self in any way. Instead of saying, "I like this," say "This is nice." By putting this discipline into action we eventually displace the lower ego with the power and influence of the Higher Self. We would gradually express self-surrender and self-sacrifice and acquire group-consciousness where the Great SELF is perceived in all.

2) Imagine, feel, and know that everyone you meet, that every creature you come across, that every plant or spirit that appears before you is an expression of God--that God is present in every one. Remember the teachings of the Master Jesus: he taught that if we harmed, hurt or did something to another we also did it to him. Every true Master feels this way; their identification with All That Is is so complete that they feel the emotions and thoughts of others as their own.

3) In conjunction with the above practice, do not forget to maintain a constant awareness that your very essence is of God, that in fact you are an embodied Christ or Buddha. See the world through the eyes of an enlightened, compassionate being. Minimize unnecessary thoughts and feelings whenever possible. However, just maintain an awareness of the divine presence within you.

4) Cease filling the physical, emotional, and mental bodies with negative energies and substances. Do not smoke, drink alcohol, consume narcotics or drugs. Gradually become a vegetarian. Avoid foods and beverages that contain chemicals, preservatives, etc. Processed and cooked foods are bad for the physical system. Emotionally and mentally speaking, change every negative thoughts and feelings into their polar opposite. Whenever a negative feeling emerges quickly transmute it. For instance, when you begin to feel anger, calm yourself down and feel peace by recalling your true identity as a divine spark of God.

5) We do not own anything. Realize that it is impossible to own anything, so therefore renounce possessiveness. We are not able to own ourselves, what more other people or earthly goods. Everything comes from Nature and goes back to Her at Her own pleasure.

6) Make sure that every word that passes your lips goes through the three gates of truth, kindness and necessity.

7) Fill your minds with divine thoughts and assume divine attitudes (see article on Divine thinking).

8) Discern what is Real from what is false. Do not be attached to the false, illusionary, ephemeral objects and conditions in life. Always look for the Real, the essence underlying all things, be attracted and attached to that. It is permanent, unchangeable, infinite, and boundless. It's nature is bliss.

9) Serve others. Forget the wants and desires of the false ego. Be a willing instrument of the Divine Will.

10) Always give thanks for what you have, for the life within you, for your life on earth, for the varied experiences that Life offers you, or for any other reason that you can think of.

11) Maintain cleanliness physically and spiritually. Keep your homes, offices, cities, country and world tidy and in order. By doing so we emulate the Creator.

12) Be graceful and harmless in everything that you say and do.

13) Express unconditional love and affection to those around you without being overly attached to them.

14) While bathing imagine yourself being cleansed by a powerful white light.

15) Study the precepts of the Saints, Avatars, and Mystics to be found in all Holy Scriptures.

16) Do not live in the past or the future, live in the now.

17) Constantly affirm the following:

"I AM EVERYWHERE IN THE CONSCIOUSNESS OF GOD AND GOD IS EVERYWHERE IN MY CONSCIOUSNESS."

And

"I AND MY FATHER ARE ONE, I AND MY MOTHER ARE ONE."

18) Before falling asleep direct your attention and thoughts to the highest possible level.

19) Jot down all of the psychic and spiritual experiences that you may have.

20) Engage in spiritual study, meditation, occult disciplines, and physical exercises. This will help transmute sexual energy into a higher form needed to fuel and activate dormant brain centers.

21) Refrain from watching too much television and movies or reading trashy novels, or involving oneself in senseless gossip.

22) Connect with Nature. Go to the mountains, the seas, the woodlands and attune your consciousness with them. Walk barefoot, absorb the Earth energies, breathe in the vitalized air and bathe in the sun rays.

23) Socialize with those of similar spiritual interests; exchange ideas; support and encourage others that their faith in the spiritual path may be strengthened.

24) Periodically, retreat to a secluded place several days or weeks at a time to conduct metaphysical exercises.

25) Take several breaks in the course of the day to attune yourself with the Cosmic forces and the Divine Mind. This will not only recharge your batteries but also clear your mind, inspire and awaken your creativity.

26) Cultivate humor. Do not take yourself seriously.

Meditation

Meditation as one of the most important practice in spiritual culture is to be found in all religions. There are many systems and forms of meditations with varied goals and purposes. Mahayana and Tantrayana or Vajrayana Buddhism offer an excellent array of systems of meditation that serve souls functioning at various evolutionary stages. The many esoteric practices of yoga, such as Kriya yoga and Lama yoga likewise are wonderful practices of meditation that promotes soul-development. Western and Taoist alchemy, although complex, provide interesting forms of meditations that regenerates and accelerates the body's basic frequency. The Sufi, Christian, and Kabbalic tradition are replete with their own forms of meditation that are most helpful in attaining the spiritual goal. When the Master Jesus told us not to pray in public buildings as hypocrites would but to seclude ourselves up in our personal rooms and close the door, he was in fact referring to meditation. Our "room" is our consciousness and the "door" is our objective senses that channel external impressions or stimuli. These senses should be closed (Pratyahara) so that our awareness may be focused upon a higher level where the Spirit (Father) dwells:

"And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly. " (Matthew 6:5-6)

We may undertake meditation for lesser goals such as health, overcoming negative emotions, stress-management, etc., but always keep in mind the higher purposes of meditation. One of the prime objective of the discipline is to anchor the Divine Consciousness into the lower principles of the microcosm. This is an aspect of the "unio mystica," or the "mystical union" as termed by Christian mystics. It is the marriage between Man and God. Others call it "Cosmic Consciousness," or "Samadhi." The mystical union is the manifesting of the New Jerusalem, the "abode of peace" in our minds and hearts. Effects of this divine awareness is the "liberation" from the cycles of birth and rebirth, and the attaining of "Nirvana"--the "blowing-out" or the transcendence of the false ego.

Meditation causes changes in the physiological and psychological functions. It alters one's awareness and releases certain chemicals and hormones that relaxes and regenerates the whole psycho-biological system. Meditation causes an attunement between the higher and lower aspects of the microcosm as it builds the "antahkarana" or the "golden bridge" that unites the two. One's basic frequency is raised during meditation and this facilitates metaphysical communication through telepathic means. Meditation also raises one's intelligence, one's I.Q., E.Q., and S.Q. In more advanced forms of meditation, the kundalini energy is raised from the base of the spine to the head to meet the down-pouring of the Shivaic forces emanating from the higher aspects of the Soul.

The Mayan Calendar Solar Glyphs

The ancient Mayans have bequeathed to our generation an interesting technology that may be utilized as a system of scrying or meditation. This is the Calendar Solar Glyphs. It is unknown, however, if it was actually used for meditation. Modern occultists have found, notwithstanding, that it facilitates soul-awareness.

The Mayans are a mystery to archeologists and scholars alike. Their technological development in astronomy is truly amazing. Their calendar-system is more advanced than any of our modern developments in that area. Where and how did they acquire their knowledge? According to Occult tradition, the Mayans as well as most of the other American-Indian tribes came from the lost continent of Atlantis. This legendary (now gradually proving to be historical) continent, or perhaps archipelago, said to have submerged into the ocean depths over twelve thousand years ago, developed a highly advanced technological civilization. It is believed that they even developed space-travel and interacted with beings from other solar systems and galaxies. Time-travel and inter-dimensional travel are supposed to be some of the occult technologies possessed and kept secret by the Atlantean priesthood. Were some of these secrets handed-down to the Mayans? Why and how did the Mayans vanish from the face of the Earth without a trace? Did they utilize their secret technologies to shift to a parallel world or to a different dimension? Or perhaps much more plausible, did they build cities underground miles below the earth where they may still be living today? We can only speculate.

What interest us at this present time is the twenty solar glyphs that they left us. These glyphs are part of their calendar system. Recently, occultists have discovered that these glyphs represent powerful Cosmic energies and that these energies may be accessed by meditating upon them. It may be possible that the Mayans physically ascended to a higher plane as a result of the utilization of these symbols during meditation and through their other undiscovered technology--as far-fetched as this may sound. These glyphs represent stages of soul-growth and the lessons that we have to learn at each level; however, we are personally unable at present to determine how these solar glyphs relate to the Mayans lunar-based calendar, for lack of information. Below we offer instructions on how to use these glyphs as a practical system of meditation.

Generally, we should choose the glyph to meditate with according to order, that is, beginning with glyph No. 1, Imix, However, you may if you wish, choose the glyph that you intuitively feel attracted to, or the one that resonates the most with your spiritual consciousness at this present time. Your choice of glyph will change as time goes by in accordance to your spiritual development, and emotional/mental needs. Meditate constantly with one of the glyphs until you feel ready to move on to the next or another glyph. These symbols are keys that open Cosmic portals where spiritual energies may be accessed. By meditating upon any one of them you begin invoking their energies. Be aware that energies are alive and possesses consciousness of some sort. During meditation upon these glyphs you may begin interacting telepathically with them. Do not fear when this happens. Start communicating and ask questions relevant to your spiritual development, your life, and your well-being. Since the energies of these solar glyphs are powerful, we caution you not to be over-stimulated by meditating excessively upon them. Do not meditate on these images for more than ten minutes.

Begin by sitting in the meditative pose. Relax your mind, body and emotions. Do some deep breathing and then focus upon one of the glyphs given below, holding and visualizing it in the mind in its given color for not more than ten minutes, and using the name of the glyphs as mantras; and then releasing their image and resting your attention upon the Silence, the Emptiness, the inner space of the soul for another ten minutes or so, awaiting impressions, activations, healings, and the balancing of the energies within the lower principles of the microcosm. Those of the magickal traditions, might want to scry and use the glyphs as portals to different realities. The "Sign of the Enterer" may be used for this. Below is a table of the glyphs and their general purposes.
